Accounting Manager

A growing construction and real estate organization in the Roseville area is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations, support financial reporting, and partner with leadership on key initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on environment and can balance both detailed work and team coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accurate financial results and timely reporting
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
• Review reconciliations for cash, balance sheet accounts, project-related activity, and intercompany transactions
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules
• Monitor project-level financial activity, including job cost allocations and revenue recognition practices
• Support budgeting and forecasting by providing analysis and variance insights
• Help strengthen internal controls and streamline accounting workflows
• Compile documentation for audits and collaborate with external auditors as needed
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, offering guidance on daily tasks and long-term development
• Partner with operations, project teams, and leadership to ensure consistent financial processes across the organization

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; construction or real estate background preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
• Experience with job cost accounting or project-based financial processes helpful
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-moving environment
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact across departments
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort with modern accounting systems
